This studio poolside apartment with rooftop patio, near The Reefs Resort, has commanding views of the south shore coastline in Southampton. You can walk to Church Bay in less than 10 minutes! Horseshoe Bay, and Warwick Long Bay are all in this district as well. The property is near buses along South Shore Road and Middle Road.
The studio apartment is one of two units in a separate building on the edge of the pool. The building is on the grounds of a larger home.
C44A accommodates 2 guests and can be rented with C44 to accommodate a total of 7 guests!
The studio has the following amenities:
Queen bed, cable TV, fully equipped kitchen, 3-pc bath with shower, air conditioning, gas BBQ and internet.
Laundry facilities are available to be used any time between 8am and 8pm.
Weekdays (evenings): 4:30 – 7:30pm
Weekends: 8am – 1pm
Newly purchased furnishings and totally redecorated in January 2014.
No pets. Smoking is permitted outside, but there is to be absolutely no smoking inside please.
The apartment is spacious and air-conditioned. Not only does it have full sized appliances in the kitchen, but is attractively designed for a relaxing getaway. The bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed. The bathroom is a full 3-piece unit with shower but no tub. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available in this unit.
The kitchen has full sized appliances and there is a separate dining area right near two large sliding doors that open to the poolside deck. The gas BBQ outdoors is poolside, where you can cook while relaxing, wine glass in hand.
Stairs lead from the ground floor to the rooftop patio above the poolside apartment, with chairs for you to relax and enjoy panoramic views of the south shore waters and Gibbs Hill Lighthouse.
The nearest bus stop is on South Shore Road, an 8-10 minute leisurely walk from the property!
Our comfortable one bedroom apartment (C44) which is next door means that up to 7 guests can be comfortably accommodated on this handsome property.
This property can be rented as a wedding venue: the lawns are large, and would make a magnificent entertaining area. Email for a quote. Both apartments have to be rented to the wedding group at the same time.
The apartment is located in a superb residential neighborhood with commanding water views over the South Shore looking towards the The Reefs Resort, and near the Fairmont Southampton Hotel as well as a host of great roadside dining establishments such as Henry VIII pub, Gulfstream Restaurant, The Swizzle Inn and others.
Nearby Church Bay Beach (about an 8 minute walk away!) has wonderful rock formations offshore for spectacular snorkeling and powder soft sands for children to play in. This beach needs only a picnic and a good book to make it perfect…
The suite is within a mile and a half of the famous Gibbs Hill Lighthouse with its breathtaking views across the island and down the coast, towards an unparalleled collection of Bermuda’s loveliest beaches. The lighthouse has a very nice restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner, and has a gift shop too as a reward for all that stair climbing!
You can also walk along the South Shore Road to admire all of the South Shore beaches through Southampton Parish, Warwick Parish and on into Paget, or you can hike along the cliffs, camera in hand. Port Royal Golf Course, the Fairmont Southampton Golf Course, and the Belmont Golf Course are all nearby along with the lovely BLU restaurant, overlooking most of the Great Sound. There are multiple hotels and restaurants for fine dining in the district (The Waterlot Inn as part of the Fairmont Southampton suite of fine dining establishments is particularly nice, as is The Reefs), and spas and sports opportunities to keep you busy, if lounging on flawless beaches that stretch like great pink and white pearls along the coast does not keep you fully entertained. Parks, picnics, horseback riding and bus excursions are easily managed from this location for the perfect holiday.
Nearby there is a popular family style café, a large grocery store (The Marketplace) and Henry’s Pantry- a convenience store that sells, milk, bread, beer, wine, liquor and other incidentals. The charming hamlet of Somerset Town is 15 minutes away with shops, cafes, and just beyond the town is the 200 year old Naval Dockyard, now converted into a museum and shopping concourse with pubs, crafts market, a para-sail operation, charter boats, beach facilities, etc. Ferry service back into Hamilton is regularly scheduled in addition to the bus service. There are very elegant hotels and fine dining available at this end of the island as well – one does not have to go into Hamilton to enjoy a good meal or cabaret. The South Shore Road is well served by public transit. Casual dining would include the Swizzle Inn, Henry VIII pub, Gulf Stream Restaurant and others along the seaside. The closest golf course would be at the Fairmont Southampton, with Port Royal 10 minutes or less west of the apartment.
The town of Hamilton is about 25-30 minutes away by bus, less by moped. One does have the attractive option of going over to Somerset or Dockyard (west of the apartment) for a jaunt across the harbour by ferry to Hamilton and on to St. George’s. Check schedules at the FOR YOUR INFORMATION section on the website where current schedules are provided by link. Reserve a day for the extensive Maritime Museum out at Dockyard on Ireland Island. There you will find meticulously restored historical buildings, craft shops and art galleries, pubs, cafes, and a bar on the beach at Snorkel Park within the Dockyard layout, shops and fascinating displays of items from Bermuda’s extraordinarily colorful past.
