Summer Price: May 1 onwards: $250 a night for 3-4 guests, plus $200 refundable damage deposit (including electricity – see below). Additional $25 per night for 5th guest.
Winter Price: Jan.1 – March 31: $4000 a month (plus electricity costs) for 2 persons only. Inquire for groups of 3 or more.

Each bedroom (double bed and queen bed) has a private bathroom and air conditioning. There are high efficiency fans throughout the common areas of the house.
Roll out single bed available on request.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and all modern amenities including: fridge and freezer, stove/oven, blender, coffee maker, kettle, utensils and cooking utensils. We have a Weber barbecue for the fresh fish you catch from the front of the property.

The cottage has air conditioning and a log fire for the chillier months, for your comfort. There is a phone for local calls, as well as cable TV and a DVD player. There is wireless internet at the cottage (it can be temperamental!). Internet can also be accessed at the post office in Mangrove Bay which is a 3 minute walk from the property, at the Frog and Onion pub at Dockyard, or at internet cafes in Hamilton or Dockyard.

Cambridge Beaches, Nine Beaches and Somerset Long Bay are a 5 minute walk from the house. Please note: there is a cat on the premises.

W17 is available without a lease and the deposit is 15% down. The balance of 85% will be paid to the homeowner when you arrive in US cash ONLY. There is a posted $200.00 damage deposit paid on arrival as well to the homeowner in cash: from this amount will be deducted the costs of electricity: the meter will be read on arrival and again on departure with the costs of power calculated at 42 cents per kilowatt hour.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS

Somerset Village is a charming hamlet on the west end of the island, equipped with pretty shops, nice grocery stores and cafes and pubs to restore you. There are delectable beaches there too- Somerset Long Bay with creamy sands, bay-grape shrubs with their fascinating oval leaves and the turquoise waters you yearn for ~ only a 5 minute walk away from the house. Mangrove Bay is close to front of the cottage with all its little boats bobbing gently at anchor, and there is a cove you can swim from. The cottage is surrounded with a tropical jungle that terminates at the waters edge. From the long comfortably appointed veranda with your cool drink in your hand, the house built in the Bermudian traditional style of 300 years ago will transport you back to an earlier time.

The merits of this lovely little neighbourhood would have to include access to the ferry system at Cavello Bay Wharf and Rockaway Wharf, as well as the bus system that runs along Somerset Road. The Railway Trail has some of its most spectacular scenery in this area as it winds very close to waters edge of the Great Sound with extraordinary views looking back over to the ocean towards St.Georges. Heading westward one is at Naval Dockyard within ten minutes by bus or ferry, less by moped.

Dockyard features a collection of spectacular buildings built for navy re-provisioning in the very early 1800‚s. Carefully restored, the handsome assortment of buildings now house museums, cafes, artist‚s workshops, theatres and pubs as well as another ferry stop.

Heading towards Hamilton, you will be charmed with Elys Harbour at Somerset Bridge where you can rent a little boat and explore the multitude of small islands just offshore.

Hamilton is about 25 minutes away by bus. Between Somerset and Hamilton you will see all the justly fabled beaches of the south shore, linked by coves and parks and scenery that is unforgettable.
