The suites will suit guests who desire peace, and a fantastic view above all else. The modern home with lovely garden has 2 spacious and very comfortable apartments: a very prettily decorated little studio, and a larger one bedroom apartment, both with upgraded amenities and immaculate in every regard.

Studio Apartment: The pretty studio is on the upper level of the home, providing you with water views that can be glimpsed through the trees. Facilities in the studio include a kitchen with a full-sized fridge and stove (with oven) and microwave. The bathroom is a tub with shower, sink and toilet. With two new twin beds that can be assembled into a King sized unit, your comfort is assured. A pretty balcony where you can enjoy your meals will be the favorite spot in the evening when the stars come out.

One-Bedroom Apartment: The lower one-bedroom apartment is ideal for two people looking for spacious accommodations in quiet and relaxing surroundings. The newly decorated one-bedroom apartment has a double bed, a double roll-out sofa in the living room, and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, and oven, just off of the spacious family room. Outdoors is a patio with table and chairs, where you can retire at the end of an exciting day of sightseeing and enjoy a home cooked meal.

Close to the bus line, the house is located in a lovely neighborhood with no through traffic: it’s a peninsula only about 3 lots wide which juts into Elys Harbour, with all the exquisite little islands in a chain off-shore, and a marina nearby where you can rent a boat so you can go and explore them and their tiny secret beaches. Somerset Long Bay is a sandy beach 5 minutes up the road where you can learn to kite surf with Mr. Mello- tell him Fiona Campbell sent you!

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
For those who enjoy a walk, the Old Bermuda Railway scenic trails run practically next-door. Somerset Village is a charming hamlet with pretty shops and nice restaurants to enjoy. There are grocery stores nearby, as well as all the usual facilities for sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving, and water skiing, fishing and parasailing near Somerset Bridge and Ireland Island. Tennis and golf courses are conveniently located as well.
There are a number of large and small hotels in the vicinity with fine dining rooms you will enjoy for that special evening out. All over the island are pretty little cafes where a nice lunch can be had in comfort, indoors or out. Small grocery stores are located in every parish, and many of them will deliver groceries as well as beer, wine and spirits: just ask your hostess for the telephone number of the obliging outlet nearby. Close by is Somerset Bridge Post Office, where people who do not have a laptop can use the free Internet.

The house is 5 minutes by bus to the village of Somerset, and another 5 or 6 minutes by bus on to Dockyard. Dockyard is a wonderful English re-provisioning naval installation from the 1820′s covering many acres of exceptional stone structures, now handsomely restored. Bermuda’s maritime history is preserved for your edification and located on a headland with the most extraordinary views of the length of the island- you can see all down the North coastline to St Georges. Dockyard also features pretty craft shops and artisans at work, excellent books on the island, pottery, and a wide array of pubs, cafes and luxurious carriage trade stores to browse through. The ferry stops here too so you can hop aboard and take a leisurely cruise back into Hamilton with your mopeds in the hold. A newly created beachside cafe and bar has been opened at the Snorkel Park at Dockyard as well. Dolphin Quest is there too – you can see their charming performances or even swim with these gentle creatures…

Sandy beaches nearby would include Somerset Long Bay, Mangrove Bay, and then West Whale Bay, a very small cove strewn with seashells and with a gentle surf, and then Church Bay (the first of the big South Shore Beaches as one travels east along the South Shore Road through Southampton, Warwick and Paget). Your moped or the bus service will take you to Warwick Long Bay and Horseshoe Bay on the South Shore as well, where umbrellas, beach chairs etc. can be rented and a concession stand operates. In the winter months, take your own little picnic to be sure of the necessary sustenance when required and an old sheet from home so you can snuggle down for a nap.

No power adapter is required for North American guests.
