Our apartment suits 2 guests who want to be tucked up in an elegant  high end neighborhood near the great South Shore beaches, Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay. With a pool and views from the pool-deck overlooking the Great Sound, there are many good places to dine as well, and good bus service  (#7 and #8) along Middle Road  to the beaches,  Hamilton or Dockyard. Sunny, bright, comfortable. 


The apartment has a full kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and gas BBQ. There is Wi-Fi (90Mbps- the opportunity to increase speed is available if the tenant pays for the upgrade) and cable TV included. For guests who need it there are laundry faciltities as well as an iron/ironing board provided. Bath and beach towels are provided for your use. Come see us soon!


There are two puppies, Poppy and Roxie located within the homeowners fenced yard. Both are very friendly and are fenced in on the other side of the house, away from the pool. They are not to be allowed in the rental unit however you can play with them!


Nearby Attractions

Heron Bay Market is the nearest grocery store to the unit. Gulf Stream restaurant and Warwick Swizzle restaurants are very close by – and very reasonably priced.

Warwick Parish is a particularly nice location because of the variety of activities nearby and its elegant park layout. Quite apart from the stunning array of beaches that proceed up the coast from Elbow Beach to the gorgeous Church Bay in Southampton, one can also ride horses at (Spicelands Riding Centre) along the beach at Warwick Long Bay, or picnic at the very well serviced public park that extends from Astwood Cove to Horseshoe Bay. The South Shore Road’s elevation rises as you proceed from east to west along the South Shore. The panorama unfolds as the road climbs until one has simply dazzling views over the ocean at dawn, in the moonlight, or at lunchtime as you head off to the surf and the seashells. There are nice cafes and pubs in this district. The revamped Belmont Course is also located nearby, as well as the attractions of the nearby Fairmont Southampton Hotel and its extensive Golf Course as well. Warwick is renowned for its lovely neighborhoods and quiet wooded hills overlooking the ocean. On the harbour side of Warwick Parish, Harbour Road is a twisting coastal drive that provides spectacular views across the water to the host of little islands and the pretty city of Hamilton beyond. The ferry connection can take one all around the harbour and out to Naval Dockyard for sightseeing. Mopeds can be loaded on the ferry too so one can jump off and explore further. Hamilton has lovely shops and places to dine, spa facilities and a pleasant ambience for evening strolling. In the summer months, Harbour Nights on Front Street is a Wednesday night marketplace event with many shops staying open to 9 pm. As a central location, forays out to St. George’s or Somerset are easily managed.

Good dining facilities in close proximity to this Warwick location would include:
 Four Ways Inn (at top of Cobbs Hill) and Blu Restaurant (above Belmont Golf Club) –  both very fine restaurants for a special occasion.
 Hamilton – with a complete selection of restaurants.
 Fine Dine-in Delivery Service – delivers from a multitude of restaurants.

The perfect place

Situated in a beautiful limestone-walled garden atop a hill overlooking the Great Sound, C39 is a picturesque retreat for poolside relaxation, storm-watching across the water, and enjoying the atmosphere of an historic Bermudian retreat. Between the walls and patio is a grassy and tree-canopied garden, beside which (and up a small set of stairs) lies a large swimming pool, with dive-board, floating lights, and lawn-chairs)overlooking the sound. Stargazing and storm watching at the pool are particular delights, as is enjoying a barbecued dinner under the patio umbrella. There are two mid-sized and utterly friendly older dogs that might visit you on your patio. Ask the homeowner to show you about the grounds, and you may be able to pluck a few home-grown avocados. The living space is large and well-suited to two people. The living room, with television, air-conditioning, and ample seating, is decorated with antiques and feels like a home study-library. The kitchen is fully-stocked, with cookware for diverse meal planning, a large fridge and freezer, its own air conditioning unit, a dine-in table for two, and some oils and spices for cooking. With a patio barbecue, a toaster over, a stove top and a regular oven, the kitchen is thoroughly equipped. The doors leading from the kitchen to the living room, and from the kitchen to the bedroom hallway, can be kept closed for ease of air-conditioning. The bathroom has a bathtub-shower, and is brightly lit. With a strong fan, cupboard storage for two, and some basic toiletries provided, it is clean and attractive. It is located in the hallway, beside two closets for linens and towels, and beside the bedroom door. The bedroom has its own air conditioning, as well as blinds on the windows for holiday sleeping- in. The bed is a spacious double, with comforters, blankets, and nice linens. There is a closet as well as a chest-of-drawers for ample clothing space for two. The property is located a short drive from the world famous Horseshoe Bay, with its long, pristine sand beach, bar with drinks, and umbrella restaurants. Divided into a long bay with waves, and a small circlet of shallow water for snorkeling and kids swimming, Horseshoe is a daily excursion for those near it. If you're lucky there could be sandcastle competitions and art during your visit! There are two nearby grocery stores, as well as a pharmacy and diverse restaurant options nearby and towards Horseshoe Bay. By checking out the ferry schedule and traveling 5 minutes to the nearby ferry, visitors can cheaply boat to Hamilton across the Sound.

We love this apartment!

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in Bermuda at C39. We absolutely loved this accommodation. It had everything we needed. It was fully equipped, clean, quiet, and the homeowner was so kind. She offered ideas and tips for enjoying our stay and made sure we felt very welcome. There is more than enough space for a couple here. The bedroom is large and the bed is comfy. The living room is a nice place to sit and chat, relax, plan your day or relive the day you just experienced. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals to your liking. And the property and pool are simply gorgeous. The view out over The Great Sound is a bonus. We would start each morning with coffee by the pool and plan our day, watching to see if any new cruise ships were arriving out at Dockyard. This is a wonderful place to stay and we recommend it highly. We would love to stay here again.

Love the Bermudian feel....

Our review is a little late but no less relevant. To start off we totally agree with all that was said by the prior reviewer. We too enjoyed our nine night stay at this lovely cottage/apt. Plenty of space and a big improvement from any unremarkable hotel room. Anything you could possibly need is provided for you. Quiet spot, away from the hustle-bustle (if there is such a thing in Bermuda). However, you can still hop a bus to take a short ride to town or to one of the beautiful beaches. Also the owner was kind enough to offer us a ride whenever she realized we were going in the same direction or if she was going to the grocery store (not far by bus). The view from the front of the main house overlooking the sound is in itself one highlight of the property. It was always a treat to sit out around the pool and enjoy the gorgeous view/gardens. My husband had a health issue while we were at the cottage and our host went above and beyond our expectations to assist in any way she could. We would go back in a heartbeat
