Near the captivating Church Bay Beach on the South Shore Road in Southampton is our W18 property. Situated on a hill with a commanding view, the house faces south east and looks out over the ocean and the breakers along the reef-lines. A very modern home with elegant, high end furnishings, the guest facility is located in a quiet, affluent neighborhood, with excellent bus service, fine hotels and restaurants to suit every taste and budget within a 5 mile radius. Suiting a couple, or a family with 6-8 guests, this home is for beach lovers, those who want to walk and absorb the incomparable views, and adventurers who are happy to head off exploring every day. These gorgeous separate units can be rented together to make 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms or separately as a 1 and 2 bedroom apartment.
W18. One Bedroom Unit
The apartment offers beautiful sea views and includes a Queen bed, a single day bed and has a ensuite bathroom. The kitchenette has a small fridge, kettle and microwave. Both units has the use of a gas BBQ. Air-conditioning, Cable TV, iron and ironing board are included. All towels and linens are provided, including beach towels. There is no internet in the one bedroom apartment.
W18A. Two Bedroom Unit
The apartment offers beautful sea views and includes a King Bed, Queen Bed, Queen pull-out sofa and each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, stove, coffee maker (Keurig; please bring your own pods), microwave and kettle. Both units has the use of a gas BBQ. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, iron and ironing board are included. All towels and linens are provided, including beach towels.
a) Closest swimming beach: The apartment is a short walk from Church Bay Beach, and ten minutes’ drive to South Shore beaches and park including Horseshoe Bay Beach.
b) Closest bus stop: There are bus stops about five minutes’ walk from the apartment, for buses to the Royal Naval Dockyards or to Hamilton.
c) Closest ferry stop: n/a
d) Closest moped rental: The nearby Reefs Resort has a cycle shop where you can rent scooters and bicycles.
e) Closest convenience store: Henry VIII shop (taxi five minutes)
f) Closest grocery store: Market Place, Heron bay (taxi ten minutes)

Close to units, you will have the pleasure of exploring the spectacular beaches along the southern coastline: Whale Bay and the stunning Church Bay offer wonderful South Shore snorkelling opportunities as well as pink, shell strewn beaches to explore (the famous ones such as Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay are renowned, but you will not want to miss the stunning trio of secret coves tucked between those two larger beaches- Chaplin Bay, Stonehole Bay and Jobson’s Cove. These three are the last word in romantic pink sand and gentle surf in splendid seclusion. Snorkelling equipment can be rented at Church Bay and several of the larger beaches such as Horseshoe. Closer than Hamilton for fine dining are the excellent facilities of The Reefs Resort in Southampton: their open-air Coconuts restaurant overlooking their private silvery sand beach will arrange a table on the beach with candles, full linens and silverware and delectable meal for your never-to-be-forgotten evening celebration. One must reserve ahead to make arrangements by calling: 441-238-0222.No reservations required for lunch however!
There are four golf courses nearby for you to play: Riddells Bay, The Belmont Golf Course, The Fairmont Southampton Golf Club and the Port Royal Golf Course are all within 10 minutes of the property and each offers its own unique challenge.
A Southampton location is considered to be a very attractive option for visitors in the know. Although the locations in the closest proximity to the beaches of the South Shore tend to be in the most demand, the 22 mile length of the island and its width of less than a mile in most places means that access to those beaches is easy by bus or by moped and that’s only after you have savoured the pretty beaches in the immediate area….
Somerset Long Bay is a quiet beach in the West end that you will want to explore… as well as The Railway Trail, a meandering paved pathway through the countryside you can explore on foot or by moped. The Trail is the land right of way owned by the government for long defunct railway system. No cars or trucks are allowed upon it, so the amble will take you through beautiful park like settings overlooking the water and the interesting homes and gardens you would not otherwise notice.
Fine dining would include Cambridge Beaches in Somerset and the Newport Room of The Fairmont Southampton Princess, as well as nice roadside cafes for breakfast or lunch.
The City of Hamilton also has lovely places to dine and shop, and in the summer months through to October, Harbour Nights on Front Street on Wednesday evenings is a sparkling outdoor market event. With live music, delicious food and unusual locally made items to buy, the street is shut to vehicular traffic and the better shops remain open. Everyone congregates happily til 10 pm. and then drifts off to window-shop, or investigate the night clubs, bars and cafes. The city is easily reached by bus, ferry (Rockaway Wharf is nearby) or moped, with taxis available to whisk you away home at the end of the evening.
