This charming apartment is within walking distance to Hungry Bay (less than a 5 minute walk) and within a 5 minute drive to the city of Hamilton. Access to the main house pool can be provided from 9am to 5pm only Monday - Friday.


C03 is a one bedroom apartment that accommodates a maximum of 2 guests. There is a King sized bed (or two twin beds) in the bedroom. Please note - the bed will be configured as a King unless a request for two twins is received in advance.

This property offers a full kitchen, full bathroom (shower, no tub), air-conditioning, and ceiling fans. The seating area is in the bedroom – there is not a separate living room.

The kitchen is stocked with the usual amenities: Keurig coffee maker and traditional coffee maker, kettle, toaster, convection/microwave oven, stove, oven, fridge, charcoal BBQ and access to the main house’s freezer.

The bathroom consists of a sink, shower (no tub), and toilet. 

Bed linens and bath towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Hi-speed wireless internet is available (50Mbps-the opportunity to increase speed is available if the tenant pays for the upgrade), as well as a radio, 50" TV with cable access, alarm clock, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. Laundry facilities can be made available to guests who stay 10 nights or longer. 

This property is appropriate for small children as well as those with mobility issues, and it is considered wheelchair friendly. The C03 apartment does not accept pets. This apartment is a self-catering unit, maid services can be provided for an additional cost if arranged in advance. 

Nearby Attractions:

Hungry Bay beach is only a two minute walk away, the city of Hamilton is just a five minute cab ride from C03, and bus route #1 has a bus stop right outside the apartment. The nearest ferry stop is Lower Ferry, about 1.5 miles from C03. The nearest public Twizy charging station is at the Masterworks Museum, less than a half mile away.

A two minute walk behind the property will lead you to Hungry Bay: a sandy beach with calm and clear waters, great for snorkeling. The bay is soft bottomed (no water shoes required!) and shallow enough at times for guests to walk over to the nearby islands to explore. The beach should be accessed by the concrete dock (as opposed to the adjacent fenced private property). Other large sandy beaches nearby include Grape Bay and Elbow Beach.

The closest grocery stores are A1 Paget Gourmet (just over 1 mile from C03) and Lindo's (2.5 miles from C03). The Botanical Gardens (where there is a cafe), the Masterworks Museum, Paget Pharmacy, and The King Edward Memorial Hospital are all less than half a mile away. Elbow Beach cycle shop for moped rentals is about 1.5 miles away.  The Rural Hill Plaza nearby also has a restaurant and pharmacy. 

The nearby Verdmont Museum is a must see if you want insight into how people lived in the 1700’s. The furnishings, wall treatments, floor coverings, and furniture are fascinating and the collection of children’s toys is wonderful. For those intrigued by nature preserves, Spittal Pond is a hike you won’t forget as you walk a path through dense tropical undergrowth, past a salt marsh (filled with migrating water birds), and up the ridge to see the Atlantic waves refilling the rock pools with small fish and crabs. The quiet there is complete and the scent of damp earth, vegetation, and clean ocean air is like perfume. This is as close to what Bermuda was like before people stumbled upon it 500 years ago as one is likely to experience.

On the bus heading east you can access John Smith’s Bay, a dazzling south shore beach. With deep water, gentle surf, and flawless pink and white sands, John Smith’s is the locals’ favourite beach. Join them in the evening with your picnic basket and relax as the sun goes down and the cool of the night sweeps away the heat, swimming at dusk as the stars come out.

Over in Flatts Village you can enjoy pizza or ice-cream before or after you watch the interesting tidal torrent pour through the narrows under the bridge. The 1926 Aquarium is right there with its delightful collection of fish, birds, and turtles and an absorbing series of displays demonstrating the geological origins of the island, the whaling industry, deep sea diving, and underwater treasure discoveries. A small facility, it suits baby legs very nicely; toddlers aren’t overwhelmed with vast distances to cover and older folks appreciate the gift shop and the friendly staff. You can dine at Rustico’s right afterwards.

All these delights are within a 10 minute drive of your accommodations and then there is the rest of the island to see! St. George’s is 20 minutes away by bus, and Naval Dockyard is 20 minutes by ferry from Hamilton. The way between is lined with beach after beach up the South Shore Road. Don’t forget Harbour Nights either - come to town and meet the locals at the Front Street marketplace for the best of local food and talent every Wednesday night!

Good restaurants carpet the island:
   – the fabled Tom Moore’s Tavern in Hamilton Parish, located at the water’s edge and one of the oldest buildings on the island
   – The Waterlot Inn (built in the 1600’s) out in Southampton
   – FourWays Inn in the Paget/Warwick area
   – The Reefs overlooking its own flawless beach on the South Shore Coast
   – Mickeys on the Beach at Elbow Beach Hotel
   – Cambridge Beaches does fine cuisine as well

Your cab driver will have an idea of local spots to hit if local specialties are the sort of thing you’d enjoy.
