The property faces the Great Sound and the views from the house are just breathtaking; the sunrise is never to  be forgotten. The trip to sandy beaches is as close as Hog Bay  Park – a 10 minute walk on the South Shore Coast. If you have mopeds or a  bus pass, all the great beaches of the South Coast are within a 10 to 15-minute ride. The barbecue and the moon-rise at the end of the day will  be your great reward, once the clouds have lost their colour and the  stars have come out. Rent W01 and W01A together for increased  family and friend capacity!

W01A: The 2 bedroom apartment comprises 2 King beds (2 twins attached) and a fold away cot (5 Persons Max). It has a large kitchen, ample bathroom with separate laundry facility, and a huge living room / dining room combination.

This unit has access to high speed wireless internet, IPTV with over 6000 channels of US, Canadian and International stations, major networks, premium movies, sports entertainment and a DVD player. W01A has a microwave oven in the kitchen. Full bathroom in each unit with tub, air-conditioning, hair dryer, iron and an ironing board.

Charcoal barbecue and outdoor furniture including table and chairs, and umbrella. The unit has reverse cycle air conditioners for your comfort.

No pets on the premises please.

Telephone service available: BERMUDA calling card for overseas calls is required.

Swimming from the front of the property is good but guests must be careful as the rocks can be sharp. Swimming shoes/water shoes are a must for all ages. There is excellent snorkelling here!

Please bring your own beach towels – bath towels are provided but they are not for use at the beach.

Although there have not been any problems in the past, a video surveillance system has been installed outside for the safety, security, and peace of mind of our guests.

This unit has access to high speed wireless internet, IPTV with over 6000 channels of US, Canadian and International stations, major networks, premium movies, sports entertainment and a DVD player.

Nearby Attractions

The bus stop is just at the end of the road from the apartment – two stops going west and two going east which are 5 and 8 minutes away respectively (normal walking). There is a grocery store nearby, as well as all the usual facilities for sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and water skiing, fishing and para-sailing near Somerset Bridge and Ireland Island. Tennis and golf courses (Port Royal and Riddell’s Bay, as well as the Fairmont Southampton) are conveniently located as well, and motor cycles can be delivered right to your front door. The Dockyard Ferry is a 20 minute ride away, and another 20 minutes by ferry to Hamilton. By moped, Hamilton is approximately 25 minutes away.

There is also a free shuttle service to the fast ferry during the morning busy period only. This shuttle can be caught from the eastward bus stop.

Last bus leaves Hamilton at midnight; schedules available online and upon arrival.

The nearby grocery store is The Maxi Mart, a full sized grocery store that also sells alcoholic beverages and has an ATM just outside.

The bus will take you to Horseshoe Bay in just a few minutes, if you don’t rent mopeds to get around.

The apartment will suit guests who desire peace and tranquility above all else. For those who enjoy a walk, there are the Old Bermuda Railway scenic trails from Somerset Bridge – about ten minutes from the cottage. The Trail is famous because vehicular traffic is not permitted: just hikers, cyclists and mopeds. Somerset Village is nearby – a charming hamlet with pretty shops and nice restaurants to enjoy.

Beyond the village is the Naval Dockyard with Bermuda’s maritime history preserved for you to happily explore. Dockyard also features pretty craft shops and artisans at work, excellent locally produced books and pottery etc. and a wide array of pubs, cafes and luxurious carriage trade stores to browse through. The ferry stops here as well, so you can hop aboard and take a leisurely cruise into Hamilton with your mopeds in the hold.
