Our handsome modern home enjoys stupendous views from a hillside vantage point across the pool and over the Great Sound. The home is located on extensive gardens that cascade down the hillside to the water’s edge at the Railway Trail. There, you can snorkel from the dock, or walk into Somerset or over to Fort Scaur.

This property accommodates a maximum of 6 guests with three proper bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a large kitchen with an adjacent dining-room. The living room is enormous, with books to enjoy and wifi available (150Mbps - the opportunity to increase speed is available if the tenant pays for the upgrade).  The entrance is private and the owner’s suite is completely removed from your living area. The pool is for guests use only, and is located in front of your apartment with a BBQ, dining furniture, and chaises. There is a pool noodle, lilo, and beach ball as well as a large blue swim ring (which would need to be blown up) all supplied for use in the pool area.

If you want a little sandy beach, there is one at the end of the lane, looking out over the south western ocean…

In the master bedroom is a King bed, the second bedroom has a Queen bed, and the third bedroom has 2 single beds that can be put together to make a King bed. There is also a Queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room.

The kitchen comes equipped with cookware, plates, glasses and utensils as well as having a toaster, slow cooker, coffee maker (Keurig), blender, electric kettle, microwave, electric toaster/oven, fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher. A high chair can also be provided for your use. For your convenience the apartment also offers an iron, hair dryer, a TV and DVD player, alarm clock and laundry facilities. Each room has air-conditioning and ceiling fans. One pool towel is provided per person to use at ONLY at the pool. Please bring your own beach towels. There are 2 Twizy charging stations at this property. For those renting a mini-car from Oleander an adapter will be needed, be sure to ask while at the rental store. For those renting an Anaig-Quick a normal charger is required and is provided at this property.

It is difficult to overstate the quiet and the astonishing views the home provides. With every creature comfort, all you need are some steaks for the barbecue. Very close by (about 5 minutes walk) a deep sea fisherman moors his sleek boat: he will sell you the catch of the day, or take you on his chartered excursions so you can catch your own!

For your entertainment, there is excellent dining and a great bar at Cambridge Beaches Resort nearby. Somerset Village has several casual outdoor restaurants as well as grocery stores and shopping. The house is on a good bus line and close to the ferry system, the major attractions of Dockyard- as well as all the prime South Shore beaches to the east, with dining establishments arrayed like pearls near the famous beaches all along the south shore coastline.
Mopeds can be rented nearby at Cambridge Beaches Resort- and there is a nice spa as well for a special treat! Estimated taxi time: 45 minutes to the house by taxi from the airport.

Check-in is no earlier than 3pm!

Heading east by road towards Hamilton, you will be charmed with the town of Somerset- it has a post office and pharmacy, nice places to dine and little shops where you can re-provision while admiring the views and the mangrove-edged beach. Ely’s Harbour at Somerset Bridge has a small marina where you can rent boats and explore the multitude of small islands just offshore including Cathedral Rocks. A bus-ferry pass to get around would be a good thing to have if mopeds are not your style!
The Railway Trail is at the bottom of the garden and offers a peek into Old Bermuda, as the trail wends away from the main road and past some fascinating old homes and farms with jaw dropping views. The grand beaches at Horseshoe, Warwick Long Bay and Elbow are a short bus or moped ride away and some are serviced public beaches with cafes, beach chair and umbrella rentals available.
