The pretty little cottage is perched at the water’s edge, overlooking Harrington Sound near the village of Flatts.

With A/C and a ceiling fan, as well as a heater, the cottage has a four poster double maple bed with a new mattress, and its own little three piece bath with shower (and hair dryer so you don’t have to pack one).

The cottage has its own private phone line with a phone jack, and television service (no cable). Wireless internet is available.

In the kitchenette we have a standard drip coffee maker, kettle, toaster oven, clock radio, small fridge/stove unit (freezer space small with only ice trays), hot plate, microwave and an iron and ironing board. In the garden there is a barbecue as well (coals need to be purchased), so you can lounge and watch the para-sailers float by while your steaks sizzle.

The wonderfully clear water off the dock is about 5 feet deep. There is NO FISHING permitted from this property, including from the dock. 2 towels are provided for swimming at the dock. There is also a two-seater kayak available for guests of C22 only, along with two life jackets. If you prefer to lounge on the waterfront deck and dock, there are four chairs (2 lounge chairs) for you to use and relax by the water.

There are no sleeping facilities for children as the unit suits a single person or a couple only (the unit is about 260 square feet). There is no formal closet but the unit has hooks on backs of doors.

Bus stop is across the street outside the main house driveway. Flatts Village is less than a 1/4 mile walk to restaurants, aquarium, post office and tiny convenience store. Bus tokens can be purchased from the post office. There are many other bus routes that run through Flatts so getting around is never a problem.

Arrangements can be made for maid service/change of linens (for an extra charge) for stays longer than 1 week.

Nearby Attractions

Nearest beaches are: Gibbet’s waterfront Trail water access near Flatts which is within walking distance. Shelly Bay – is a calm and tranquil North Shore Beach and John Smith’s Bay which is on the South Shore, with deep soft sand, gentle surf and an excellent swimming and snorkeling beach. Both are 5 minutes by bike. Flatts Village is within walking distance and there you can do a little shopping, or have a casual meal. The bus stop is just beyond the garden gate. Flatts Village now has a pizzeria, take-out cafe, Italian restaurant and of course the 1926 Aquarium with its attached museum and mini-zoo. Nearest convenience store is Twins Variety on Flatts Hill (which is walking distance and open early and till late evenings), and Harrington Hundreds Grocery – 5 minutes on bike. The Specialty Inn on South Road at Collectors Hill is a 5 minute moped ride for family style eating in unpretentious but comfortable surroundings.

Harrington Sound is is calm water to snorkel comfortably or play with the parasail company that operates in the Sound. There are fine dining establishments nearby such as the renowned Tom Moore’s Tavern and the Swizzle Inn for drinks and snacks. The Perfume Factory and the Bermuda Glass-Blowing Studio are nearby as well.

As far as boat rentals, there are no boat rentals on Harrington Sound. The closest place would be Blue Hole Water Sports out of Grotto Bay Hotel.

The old town of St. George’s is only 15 minutes away and well worth a couple of days exploration: many fine buildings from the 1600’s still stand and include handsome old homes, museums and churches. Make time to swim at Tobacco Bay and Clearwater Beach when in the St. George’s area: both are simply lovely. We so look forward to seeing you at our pretty waterside cottage. It’s the last word in romantic escapes.

Was an awesome stay as usual. The homeowner couldn’t be more accommodating. This quaint little cottage is perfect place to rest and relax. Our month’s stay was cut short by a few days but we’ll definitely be back.

The stay at C22 exceeded our expectations with our only complaint being we wished we were staying longer!

We were in heaven !

My husband and I have just spend a far too short 4 nights at C22 and had the most wonderful and unforgettable time. It was our 7th visit to the island and having stayed in some lovely accommodation over the years, this was absolutely top of our list. Forget big flashy hotels and expensive cuisine - we were so incredibly happy sitting on the dock of this quaint little cottage right on the water overlooking beautiful Harrington Sound with a plate of food from the supermarket deli watching the sun go down - heaven ! Perfectly situated for doing and seeing virtually anything on the island and within walking distance to picturesque Flatts. We hired mopeds and whizzed around finding places we still hadn't seen but were always excited to return to our little cottage. I can't recommend it enough - clean, comfortable, well equipped and perfect in every way. the only downside is that we weren't there for longer ! Next year ......

Perfect, quiet little haven

We just spent 5 nights at the cottage. Perfect location on the water. We had the visit of a spotted sea ray, a sea turtle and fabulous birds, right by the dock. It was great to get up in the morning and go for a swim. A visit at the Bermuda Aquarium museum and zoo close by, was easy and lovely. Already planning our next visit to beautiful Bermuda...

Perfect stay

Out stay was great! We were there for the perfect amount of time and the little waterfront cottage was terrific. The homeowner was delightful as well. We rented a Twizzie for a day and were able to see the entire island. What was winter to the locals felt like summer to us.

Delighted with our stay!

We were delighted with our stay in Bermuda in particular at C22. The cottage was clean and fully equipped, the view from the terrasse was exceptional and the host gave us a warm and considerate welcome. We really enjoyed our stay in Bermuda and spending the new year there. We mainly took advantage of the beaches which are heavenly : turquoise water, pink sand, palm trees, blue sky and golden sun. Because it was the off-peak season, there were very few people and we almost had the beaches just for us ! Our favorites were Elbow beach and Church Bay (John Smith's bay beach is also a nice sandy beach not far away from the cottage, you can go by foot). Overall, we had a really great experience in Bermuda and with Bermuda Rentals. We were more than re-energized to well begin this new year.

Loved our stay

We did love our stay. It was a nice break and we will probably do it again. Although I live in Bermuda we don't have the wonderful water views at home and to be right on a dock with water access was a real treat. Went swimming as soon as we got there. The homeowner was friendly and helpful and let us keep our car in her driveway but afforded us the privacy that we wanted. Thanks for all your help during the booking process. I know it wasn't easy because we were so last-minute with our decision. Next time we'll try to give more notice.

The perfect spot

My wife and I celebrated both of our children getting married in 2018 and we decided to treat ourselves to 5 days in one of our favorite spots-Bermuda ! We found C22 via Bermuda Rentals and boy did it hit the spot! The unit was perfect for the 2 of us: Our host/owner could not have been more gracious-The cottage was clean and inviting on our arrival, and set-up with all the necessary amenities. I could take about a 10-15 pace walk/run to get from the bed to doing a cannonball jump into Harrington Sound-PERFECT! The bus line located directly across the street was just great in getting around the island! We took full advantage of the grill, and also found the restaurant RUSTICO’s and the AQUARIUM both a MUST! No doubt we plan on returning again and often !!!

The property was just right. Clean, wonderful position on the water. Small, perfect for one or two. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The location is rather "mid" between Hamilton and the top of the island or the airport, and so a good location. I took the bus everywhere and it is the only way to go. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for some quiet, beauty, and being in the center of things, basically.
