The pretty little cottage is perched at the water’s edge, overlooking Harrington Sound near the village of Flatts.

With A/C and a ceiling fan, as well as a heater, the cottage has a four poster double maple bed with a new mattress, and its own little three piece bath with shower (and hair dryer so you don’t have to pack one).

The cottage has its own private phone line with a phone jack, and television service (no cable). Wireless internet (100Mbps-the opportunity to increase speed is available if the tenant pays for the upgrade) is available.

In the kitchenette we have a standard drip coffee maker, kettle, toaster oven, clock radio, small fridge/stove unit (freezer space small with only ice trays), hot plate, microwave and an iron and ironing board. In the garden there is a barbecue as well (coals need to be purchased), so you can lounge and watch the para-sailers float by while your steaks sizzle.

The wonderfully clear water off the dock is about 5 feet deep. There is NO FISHING permitted from this property, including from the dock. 2 towels are provided for swimming at the dock. There is also a two-seater kayak available for guests of C22 only, along with two life jackets. If you prefer to lounge on the waterfront deck and dock, there are four chairs (2 lounge chairs) for you to use and relax by the water.

There are no sleeping facilities for children as the unit suits a single person or a couple only (the unit is about 260 square feet). There is no formal closet but the unit has hooks on backs of doors.

Bus stop is across the street outside the main house driveway. Flatts Village is less than a 1/4 mile walk to restaurants, aquarium, post office and tiny convenience store. Bus tokens can be purchased from the post office. There are many other bus routes that run through Flatts so getting around is never a problem.

Arrangements can be made for maid service/change of linens (for an extra charge) for stays longer than 1 week.

Nearby Attractions

Nearest beaches are: Gibbet’s waterfront Trail water access near Flatts which is within walking distance. Shelly Bay – is a calm and tranquil North Shore Beach and John Smith’s Bay which is on the South Shore, with deep soft sand, gentle surf and an excellent swimming and snorkeling beach. Both are 5 minutes by bike. Flatts Village is within walking distance and there you can do a little shopping, or have a casual meal. The bus stop is just beyond the garden gate. Flatts Village now has a pizzeria, take-out cafe, Italian restaurant and of course the 1926 Aquarium with its attached museum and mini-zoo. Nearest convenience store is Twins Variety on Flatts Hill (which is walking distance and open early and till late evenings), and Harrington Hundreds Grocery – 5 minutes on bike. The Specialty Inn on South Road at Collectors Hill is a 5 minute moped ride for family style eating in unpretentious but comfortable surroundings.

Harrington Sound is is calm water to snorkel comfortably or play with the parasail company that operates in the Sound. There are fine dining establishments nearby such as the renowned Tom Moore’s Tavern and the Swizzle Inn for drinks and snacks. The Perfume Factory and the Bermuda Glass-Blowing Studio are nearby as well.

As far as boat rentals, there are no boat rentals on Harrington Sound. The closest place would be Blue Hole Water Sports out of Grotto Bay Hotel.

The old town of St. George’s is only 15 minutes away and well worth a couple of days exploration: many fine buildings from the 1600’s still stand and include handsome old homes, museums and churches. Make time to swim at Tobacco Bay and Clearwater Beach when in the St. George’s area: both are simply lovely. We so look forward to seeing you at our pretty waterside cottage. It’s the last word in romantic escapes.

Great Place - Exactly as Pictured and Described

The place was exactly as described and what you see in the images/video. Perfect for a couple. Although small, the outdoor space right on the sound makes up for it. It is convenient to restaurants, buses, the aquarium, post office, and convenience store. It is a short cab ride to the airport and many other destinations. The amenities and comforts inside the unit were fine as well. Nothing over the top, but just what you need. The majority of our week there was spent exploring the island and not inside the unit anyways. It is next door to the beautiful Manor House. Lots of fish and birds in the sound and we even saw a pair of sting rays while relaxing on the dock. Fiona and Caterina were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole process of reserving the unit and answering all of our questions after that. Top notch customer service. This was our first trip to the island, so we had quite a few questions. We will definitely be planning another trip and will be finding a place through them again.

Exceptional vacation

We really enjoyed our 6 nights at C-22. Swimming and snorkleing right off the dock. Morning coffee and evening dinner overlooking Harrington Sound was incredible. We bought bus passes at the aquarium. They had daily tokens and 2 day passes. The bus system is great. We could get on at the aquarium and just a stop or two to the MARKET PLACE, a supermarket, which had everything we needed. The rail trail is an easy walk from the cottage and very beutiful. We walked to the trail, then took a bus back to Flatts village. Bring your mask and snorkle. Also, a pair of water shoes came in handy as there are some rocks by the ladder to the dock. Bermuda Accommodations was gracious and helpful throughout. Thank you and we will be back.

Wonderful Vacation

We had the BEST time... We were originally scheduled to stay at the cottage in March 2020. Covid had other plans. So we were happy to be there a year later. The cottage was wonderful. The owner was a delight, so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the easy access to the bus stops and an easy walk to a mini mart for food. The house is located really close to the road.. so please be aware there is some road noise. The dock and being that close to the water was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this cottage. Bermuda Accommodations were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was great.

Was an awesome stay as usual. The homeowner couldn’t be more accommodating. This quaint little cottage is perfect place to rest and relax. Our month’s stay was cut short by a few days but we’ll definitely be back.

The stay at C22 exceeded our expectations with our only complaint being we wished we were staying longer!

We were in heaven !

My husband and I have just spend a far too short 4 nights at C22 and had the most wonderful and unforgettable time. It was our 7th visit to the island and having stayed in some lovely accommodation over the years, this was absolutely top of our list. Forget big flashy hotels and expensive cuisine - we were so incredibly happy sitting on the dock of this quaint little cottage right on the water overlooking beautiful Harrington Sound with a plate of food from the supermarket deli watching the sun go down - heaven ! Perfectly situated for doing and seeing virtually anything on the island and within walking distance to picturesque Flatts. We hired mopeds and whizzed around finding places we still hadn't seen but were always excited to return to our little cottage. I can't recommend it enough - clean, comfortable, well equipped and perfect in every way. the only downside is that we weren't there for longer ! Next year ......

Perfect, quiet little haven

We just spent 5 nights at the cottage. Perfect location on the water. We had the visit of a spotted sea ray, a sea turtle and fabulous birds, right by the dock. It was great to get up in the morning and go for a swim. A visit at the Bermuda Aquarium museum and zoo close by, was easy and lovely. Already planning our next visit to beautiful Bermuda...

Perfect stay

Out stay was great! We were there for the perfect amount of time and the little waterfront cottage was terrific. The homeowner was delightful as well. We rented a Twizzie for a day and were able to see the entire island. What was winter to the locals felt like summer to us.
