Featuring 3-4 bedrooms near the third fairway of Tucker’s Point Golf Course, this home is suitable for both the avid golfer as well as the travelling family. A car can be made available to guests with a valid Bermuda Driver's License.
Main House: 3 Bedrooms:
Master Bedroom (Bedroom 1) – King bed and Queen sofa bed. Please note the Queen sofa bed is in the lounge area of the master bedroom so is not private and would only be suitable for parents with children.
Bedroom 2 – Queen bed
Bedroom 3 – 2 twin beds that can be joined together to form 1 King bed
Bring your friends – no one will be stuck for sleeping situations.
Additional one bedroom apartment:
Bedroom 1 – 2 twin beds that can be bolted together to form 1 King bed. As a King bed, the 2 twins beds would not separate or have a gap in the middle.
Separate Living area – 1 twin sofa bed
The beautifully decorated king-sized master bedroom features an ensuite bath (including a Jacuzzi) with a dressing area and a small private office. An infant can be kept close by with a sofa bed in the lounge area of the large bedroom. The second and third bedrooms share a modern bathroom facility with tub and shower with a powder room in the general living area.
The modern kitchen has every cooking convenience with separate open plan dining area and lounge. A BBQ is available as well. The comfortable family room (where the sofa bed is located) is off the main entrance hallway and has access to the mudroom and laundry.
The house offers a handsome garden with fresh fruit and vegetables in season that you are welcome to enjoy. The patio just off the living room extends your entertaining effortlessly into the garden.
The property is equipped with cable TV, internet, a DVD player, a CD player, an alarm clock, iron, ironing board and air-conditioning. Beach towels are provided. A hair dryer is provided. Pets can be boarded on request if preferred not to be on premises.
The nearest bus stop is only about 20 yards from the front driveway. There is also a bus stop on Mid Ocean Drive which is about 150 yards away.
Located close to the third fairway on Tucker’s Point Golf Course, the property is but a short walk from Mid Ocean Club, Baby Beach (tranquil waters in a pretty cove, suitable for little children), Mid Ocean Beach and Windsor Beach (more robust surf, and flawless pink sands). Equi-distant is Tucker’s Point Resort for casual poolside or fine dining. The public dock is also available for your use. Peeking through the gardens are views of Castle Harbour where the sandy bottom provides a glimpse of the intense green and aqua waters Bermuda is renowned for.
There are no public beaches in Tucker’s Town. The home owner can help to arrange access to private beaches in the area. The nearest public beach is John Smith’s Bay.
The house suits avid golfers being just a few minutes walk from both Mid Ocean Club and Tucker’s Point Club. Introductions to Mid Ocean Club for temporary membership can be arranged by the home owner. Guests can then make use of all the amenities including the beautiful private beach- Windsor Beach – just minutes walk away. September to December, while considered off season, offer milder temperatures, quiet beaches warm enough to swim, less humidity and a marvelous opportunity to rest, recharge, and explore. January to March provide the perfect opportunity to escape winter altogether, play golf and tennis, sunbathe and walk the many trails, parks and hidden coves summer guests never seem to find.
The Mid Ocean Club has a temporary membership fee for one family, or one couple, for $500.00/week. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Tucker’s Town is a much sought after location because of its wonderful golf courses, and large homes on spacious lots. This is a relatively recent development dating from the 1920’s when an Act of Parliament cleared the way to purchase property from the owners to consolidate enough land for a hotel and the famous golf course that launched Bermuda’s tourism industry. Prior to this time, Hamilton Parish was a quiet backwater with ship building, fishing, tobacco farms and an abundance of handsome old buildings that have been imaginatively re-incorporated into larger structures over time.
Flatts Village is five minutes away by taxi – 15 minutes by bus. A delightful village with nice places to eat (Rustico’s is particularly enjoyed by locals and visitors alike), local shops and the Aquarium and Zoo with Geological Museum which are well worth a visit.
