The Mid Ocean Golf Course and Tucker’s Point Resort are less than 15 minutes away by taxi or by bus, and there is Ocean View in Devonshire and the Princess, Belmont and Riddells Bay courses as well as Port Royal as you proceed west along the island. See website bermuda-accommodations.com for information about arranging tee times etc.

Suggested St. George’s Restaurants:

1. Wahoos – food is excellent
2. White Horse Tavern – great tavern food
3. Griffins Bistro – food is excellent
4. Mama Angies – good down home Bermuda Cooking
5. Wong Golden Dragon – great take out

RATE INCLUDES reasonable electricity and water consumption, understanding always that these are precious and scarce utilities and that everyone in Bermuda conserves assiduously by turning lights and A/C off when you go out and never letting taps run on. Locking up is the same prudent exercise in Bermuda as it is when you leave your own home; close the windows and leave the unit secure please. Included are local telephone calls but long distance calls will require a calling card. Check with your cell phone provider to see if your phone will operate overseas and arrange a good plan before you go so as to avoid hefty charges. It is customary to leave a gratuity for the maid.

A boat rental or charter will permit you to explore the wonderful collection of islands, bird sanctuaries, old forts and spectacular beaches that are situated in the Castle Harbour area. You can drift down the coast and admire the palaces of Tucker’s Town where the elite from around the world have built their luxurious hideaways. With a picnic and a case of cool drinks, this could be the most relaxed day of your vacation.

Loved everything about this cottage

I am so sorry it took so long for me to do this. When you return home, after 6 weeks in Bermuda, staying in this little cottage, there is much to do. I would need a book to tell you everything I loved about being in this place. It was private, quiet, I could walk to the stores and it was so clean and nicely prepared for me. The owners are lovely people and I had the pleasure of chat with them several times. Everything I could possibly need was provided for me. I have visited Bermuda 30 some times in my lifetime, and I am sad to say that I will not be going again unless it is on a ship. I am NOT sad that I chose this cottage for my last and longest stay on this beautiful island. It was a dream of mine and I made it happen, but not without the girls in the rental office and the homeowners. My last trip to my second home was exceptional.

Definitely recommend

The property was beautiful, exactly as advertised. Perfect location, safe, clean, beautiful use of interior and exterior space, historic but with modern conveniences. I met the homeowner on my last day there and he described the building's history and talked a bit about the local community. It was all very interesting to learn, he was very nice, and I would definitely recommend a stay here for anyone traveling to Bermuda.

Fantastic

Stayed at E14 in October for a week. Fantastic award winning world heritage house. The house dates back to the 1700s when it was used as a meeting house. It’s been totally renovated with modern luxuries while maintaining its historic appeal. Top rate design and craftsmanship. House sits right next to a historic church on a small St. Georges alley. The old world streets in St Georges are known as “alleys”. Walk to town and beaches. Or easily rent scooters or electric mini cars. I visit Bermuda two to three times a year for over twenty years and E14 is my first option.

Amazing!

We stayed in this cottage almost a year ago for our honeymoon. I can’t decide which was better, the buildings or the owners. When we showed up [the home owner], who remodeled the house, gave us a tour of the property and explained the historical significance of the house and surrounding area. He gave us guidance on things to do and places to see and made us feel very welcome. They even provided a cell phone for our time there in case an emergency were to arise. We could walk to beautiful beaches or downtown St. George. Lastly, we were to spend the second week of our trip in Hamilton and I left behind a watch that was a family heirloom. [The home owner] drove the watch all the way across the island to Hamilton. I can’t fit all the great things about this place into a review, but do yourself a favor and see it for yourself.

Wonderful

[The home owner] met use at E14 and provided a great tour and history on the facility. He has been wonderful and E14 is wonderful: very comfortable bed, in-house WiFi, well stocked kitchen, wonderful bathroom facilities, charming private patio, good AC and lighting, and great close access to central St. George. Awaiting the category 2 hurricane tomorrow with no concern for our safety: solidly built facility on high ground. Thank you for your assistance with securing this property. We are looking forward to a fantastic vacation!

Perfect!

E14 was the perfect little cottage for our escape from ordinary life. Comfortable in every way from the full kitchen and bath to the soft queen bed and small sofa. The two private patios really are private with tables, chairs, cushions, a little gas grill and pretty plantings. Peeper frogs and Kissadee birds kept us in good company. Adorable downtown St. George is two short blocks away with grocery store and bus stops right around the corner. Stunning Tobacco Bay Beach is just a 10 minute walk and the very quiet and beautiful St. Catherine’s Beach is just a few minutes walk further. Water in bright hues of blues can be seen from almost everywhere you go. The E14 Caretaker was so nice and took very good care of us. In fact, all the Bermudians we met were very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. This is a perfectly romantic, relaxing and very special place to be.

Wonderful!!

My stay at E14 was perfectly wonderful. I was able to meet the home owners and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The cottage was exquisite, great location, beautifully kept, clean. I especially loved the outdoor spaces, I had 2 awesome patios, I spent most of my time there. The weather was magnificent everyday which was just the icing on the cake. I found an absolute jewel in E14. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted all my photographs, which is too bad because the sunsets were just breathtaking and it was a full moon!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at E14. Patrick and I loved Bermuda, the cottage, St. Georges and can’t say enough about the kind and helpful citizens! Every where folks were always willing to lend advice or assistance. Much like being home in the southern states. The cottage was perfect for our stay. I really love how [the home owner] restored and kept the integrity of the structure. All was in working order and clean. We used the kitchen a few times and enjoyed “living like locals”. 🙂 Thank you for all your assistance and the home owner’s for making our stay memorable.

Perfect little house

We stayed here for the first time this september and what a perfect little house. The owner was great, he gave us a tour of st.georges and the island. We had an amazing time. This is our 4th time to this gorgeous island. We’ve been to several islands and bermuda is hands down the most beautiful. The snorkeling, the people the heritage is all incredible. Dont think twice book bermuda and E14, Or [the home owner’s] other two propertys [E19 or E23] both places are great.
