Nestled into a garden setting is this pretty cottage, comfortably decorated and renovated with all necessary modern conveniences.

This pretty cottage sleeps up to five guests, with two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a Queen bed and a master bathroom with shower/bathtub. The second bedroom has two single beds and the second bathroom has a shower stall. There is also a Queen sleeper sofa in the room with the fireplace, which has a door and is very private. This room is situated between the two bedrooms and has easy access to the 2nd bedroom via the hallway. We also have two extra mattresses that can be put on the floor. These come in handy if you have a combination of people who may prefer to sleep separately.

Internet, TV, and DVD player. Beach towels are provided for your use. This property offers a Twizy charging station, as well as a regular charging cord for other types of electric vehicle rentals.

The updated and bright kitchen offers an over sized oven, gas stove top, large fridge, and all the kitchen equipment you will need to prepare a delicious meal. Outside, there is a charcoal BBQ to assure all amenities are provided. There is plenty of storage for the goodies you’ll purchase at any of Bermuda’s luxury food emporiums, or for any food items you bring with you.

The property provides a wonderful venue for a family holiday, or a getaway for friends who want to enjoy a tropical setting with a fireplace, beautiful scenery, and quiet gardens. Less than 150 feet down the lane, the cottage has its own private waterfront and tiny beach backed by limestone cliffs.

Nearby Attractions

Cambridge Beach Resort is a 5 minute walk from the cottage and has a reputation for fine cuisine and a spa. Please note the resort welcomes adults only. Windjammer Water Sports at Cambridge Beaches lets sailboats, kayaks, and Boston Whalers, which are great for exploring the islands and inlets of Mangrove Bay. Somerset Long Bay Park, a well-kept Bermuda public park and beach with great sunset views, is just past Cambridge Beaches.

Somerset Long Bay is a 10 minute walk away. Water shoes are recommended and widely available around the island.

A five minute walk away is the heart of the quaint village of Somerset on Mangrove Bay. Somerset is host to restaurants, a post office (with free internet access and bus/ferry ticket sales), a pharmacy, two banks, a movie rental store, a liquor store, and public transportation stops. The Somerset pharmacy has a book exchange and beach toys. The Market Place, a large grocery store, is a 10 minute walk.

A short bus ride past Somerset village is historic Dockyard. The extraordinary installation features a collection of spectacular buildings erected for navy re-provisioning in the very early 1800’s. The Maritime Museum out at Dockyard on Ireland Island has fascinating displays of items from Bermuda’s colorful past, fully restored. The Commissioner's House is an iron structure with the most commanding view of the island to be seen anywhere- from end to end. Other handsome buildings now house art galleries, museums, cafes, artist’s workshops, theaters, and pubs as well as a major ferry stop that will whisk you into Hamilton and on to St. George’s. The Railway Trail is nearby as well, and offers a peek into Old Bermuda, as the trail winds away from the main road and past some fascinating old homes and farms with jaw dropping views. Fort Scaur just above Somerset Bridge can be accessed from The Railway Trail.

Bus stops are within a five minute walking distance from the property. The ferry stop at Watford Bridge is a fifteen minute walk through Somerset Village. Look at the ferry schedule and catch the one that takes you around the Great Sound, stopping at Cavello Bay, and into the Hamilton Ferry Terminal. You will enjoy a wonderful tour of the inner island. Or take the bus to Dockyard and enjoy an ocean-side direct ferry to historic St. George’s on the east end of the island.

The grand beaches at Horseshoe, Warwick Long Bay, and Elbow are 20 minutes away by bus or moped. The newly renovated Port Royal Golf Course and the Fairmont Southampton Golf Course are both in the western end of the island.
