Our cottage is nestled in a little cove looking west toward the town of St. George’s. The cove has a small beach for swimming and the use of 2 double kayaks for exploring the bays around nearby Smith’s Island and St. David’s. The homeowner provides beach towels, chaise lounge chairs, a cooler, swimming noddles, and a mask & snorkel.

At the waterside are 2 chaise lounges, while up on the patio is a table with 2 chairs. There are two patios at this property. The back patio also has a table, 4 chairs, and a small BBQ. Inside the cottage, there are 2 en suite bedrooms with a queen bed in the upper room and a double in the lower room. The living room couch pulls out to a full size bed. Each bathroom is 3 piece with a tub and shower downstairs and a shower stall upstairs. Air-conditioning is supplied for the whole cottage and there are fans in each room.

The kitchen is supplied with pots, cutlery, a microwave, fridge, freezer, electric kettle, toaster oven and stove.

For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer but please be sparing with the water and make sure you have a reasonable load of laundry since there is no municipal water supply. Home owners collect rain water for their tanks which are below the house. There are also 2 Twizy car charging stations at this property.

The closest convenience store is at the gas station in St. David’s, about a 5 minute motorbike ride from the cottage.

The closest grocery store is in St. George’s at the Supermart, 15 min by bike, 20 min by bus. There is also a grocery store at Shelly Bay which is a 25 minute drive along North Shore Rd toward Hamilton.

Nearby attractions include Clearwater Beach which is a 25 minute walk out to St. David’s Road and onto Southside Road. There you will find a delightful nature reserve with trails to more beaches and a lookout tower on a promontory overlooking the south shore. As well, the historic town of St. George’s is a 15 minute bus or motor bike ride from the cottage. Near to St. Georges is Tobacco Bay where you can rent snorkel gear and discover many juvenile reef fish swimming in the shallow areas.

Buses run every hour from 7 until 6 along St. David’s Rd and along Southside Rd nearby. The bus takes passengers over to St. George’s or, even closer, to an intersection with buses going to Hamilton. However, we highly recommend renting motor bikes for travelling around the island because there is no public transportation to St. David’s after 6pm. Bikes can be rented in St. Georges or near the airport.

In the summer months, there is a fast ferry running daily from St. George’s to Hamilton along the North Shore. On a sunny day, this is a very pleasant trip.

This property is considered not suitable for children under 10.

A great stay

It was our second trip to Bermuda and our second booking through Bermuda Rentals. E39 is a pearl, to say the least. The pictures looked very promising but upon our arrival we learned that the place is even better. No pictures can tell. E39 is breathtaking and the reality -once there- was definately exceeding all our expectations. It is a place where the term "second-to-none" is so true. It is a combination of everything: the location, the place in general as well as the hosts. Everything is simply perfect. That being mentioned, the hosts are very gentle, helpful and super nice folks. You get to this place and you feel at home. With the only difference that here you have kind of reached paradise. The house is spacey, clean and so cosy. We did often sit there, just watching the stars or the sea. Swimming just in front ot the cottage is perfect. The cottage is completely and very well equipped, there is nothing missing and the homeowners will do their very best to make a stay there an unforgettable one. Our hosts have opened us an entirely new perspective on Bermuda by allowing us to go local in a real way. Like last time, we were having a scooter for our two weeks stay and it is an easy drive to reach whatever part of the Island within a short while. Driving about Bermuda is no big deal anyway: the Island is so beautiful that a simple scooter ride is a joy. We love Bermuda and her extremely nice people as well as their overwhelming hospitality. For very sure we´ll be back sooner than later. Thank you (homeowners) for the best two weeks of the year and thank you Bermuda Rentals for such an easy to handle business. Very best regards from Germany

Perfect Paradise!

Rest and relaxation! We spent 12 days in this amazing home. We did travel around the island and visited beaches but always came back saying this spot was our favourite. We can't say enough of the hospitality of the owners. They are so kind and made us feel at home from the day we arrived. They are very well versed on the island and if you have a question that they can't answer on the spot, they will find out for you. This cottage is off the main strip but it is a short walk to a bus stop and the public transportation is a breeze! Taking the bus allows you to see more of the island and you spend most of the ride staring at beautiful water. Take the ferry, super quick and a great way to see more of Bermuda. Bring food! Although beautiful, Bermuda is expensive - alcohol is not cheap like it is on other islands. Horse Shoe Bay wasn't our thing... very crowded but pretty. Tabacco Bay beach was beautiful and Clearwater beach is a short walk away. The people on the island are so friendly and it is very safe and clean. E39 is it's own little paradise and you won't be disappointed! The water is so warm and the sunsets are amazing. They have every kitchen utensil you can think to need and when we were asked by the owners what we felt they could add or improve, absolutely nothing was missing! Waking up in the loft each morning was beautiful and we were so grateful for the time we spent at this peaceful paradise. Fingers crossed we will make it back there again soon!

Perfect Little Cottage by the Sea

I've been to Bermuda many times, and this may have been my favorite place to stay. It's a quiet, breezy little cottage with a calm bay - the perfect spot for relaxation. I was a bit concerned that the location would be too far off the beaten path, but scooters make everything easily accessible, and the privacy of this little spot was most welcomed. The owners have really thought of everything, so just bring the necessities. I travel quite a bit, and I don't think I've ever felt more comfortable during a stay away from home. The homeowners are gracious hosts who really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, and enjoy your visit. We also had the pleasure of meeting neighbors who invited us to their 4th of July picnic - what fun! We will most assuredly be back to this clean, well-appointed, comfy cottage.

Lovely time

We had a lovely time in St David's thank you. From the moment we arrived to the moment we had to head home everything was superb and the island offered us so much more than we expected. The owners were both very gracious hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thanks once more for all of your help in securing the accommodation for us, we will no doubt return at some point in the future.

We found paradise. It's here, at E39. I have never had a perfect holiday until I came here. So, what can I say. The house is clean, spacious, modern, in great condition and very well equipped, (don't bring a million "just in case" items, really!!). The location is (ahhhhhhh) unbelievable! One of three houses on the entire beach area. Those chairs you see on the photos are yours!!! As is that little beach. I spent hours watching the view. It changes every minute. You get a full, amazing view of sunsets every night! The wildlife visits you as you sit there!! There are two kayaks which were great fun, with lots of places to explore nearby (I haven't done this before, it's easy!!). The drive down to the house is incredible- we had a moped (recommend Oleander, Paget, they deliver there). It is definitely off the beaten track, but that's a good thing, I promise. The owners live nearby, and what can I say - amazing hosts - we were treated like part of the family. (Their granddaughter made cookies for us!). They are very respectful of your privacy, but help with anything you need. Could not have felt more welcome. Thank you so, so much for a holiday we will always remember. I wish I could add photos here, I took thousands!!!
