Winter Price: Same as summer.

Our beautiful studio apartment is located in an exclusive enclave on the fabled South Shore Road in Smith’s Parish. Part of the estate is gem of a beach – deep soft sands and fantastic snorkelling, used only by the owners of the homes in the development.

Equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette with stove, under-counter fridge, microwave, a coffee maker and Keurig, we also have a hair dryer available in the shower-equipped bathroom. WiFi internet and a BBQ available, along with beach towels, two beach chairs and an umbrella. An iron & board, and laundry facilities can be made available to guests staying 7 nights or longer. A queen bed and a small single bed are provided.

The beach is the great asset of this location: it is not more than 100 feet from the apartment across parkland green space. There is a rope with knots leading down the rocks to assist you to the sand (see photos above) – please be careful climbing over the rocks. Watershoes would be useful at this location.

As owner of the Swizzle Inn, you’ll be greeted with a complimentary jug of swizzle to welcome your arrival!

No maid services but fresh linens will be supplied as required. A Twizy charging station has just been installed for a guests interested in renting a Twizy car.

Nearby Attractions

6 minutes east of the house by bus or moped is John Smith’s Bay. John Smith’s Bay is a well kept local secret- a quiet beach with deep soft pink sands that slope into quiet waters without the buffeting of heavy wave action or undertows. Smith’s Parish is adjacent to the Hamilton Parish enclave of the rich and famous in Tucker’s Town. You’ll enjoy touring this area with its magnificent homes, vast wooded hills and the sweeping golf courses. Lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at the Tucker’s Point Resort or Tom Moore’s Tavern when you feel like an elegant night out.

Bus stop heading west to Hamilton is just a couple-minutes walk away near St. Mark’s Church. Nearby (5 minutes by bus) is the most excellent Harrington Hundreds Grocery, a fine food emporium distinguishing themselves further by offering a full delivery service including beer, wine and spirits. Specialty Inn, a family style restaurant, is in the same mini plaza at the crossroads of South Shore Road and Collector’s Hill. You may see movie stars here too – its down-home atmosphere belies the delicious local fare that is served here. Flatts Village is about a 5 minute ride away overland: Rustico, one of the best Italian restaurants on the island is located in the village as is Pizza Chef (they do home deliveries) and a fantastic sandwich shop. The 1926 Aquarium is a small zoo and museum with an exceptional set of displays, cafe and lovely gift and book shop. Other good restaurants in the area would include dining at Pink Beach Resort near John Smith’s Bay. The tidal wash under the little bridge at Flatts and the outlet from Harrington Sounds is always interesting to observe.

Spittal Pond Nature Reserve is an extraordinary park: migratory birds flock to the marsh, sunk between the coastal hills and the ridge along which the South Road meanders.

If you enjoy hiking, pick up the Davidson Tour Book featured on the website. Bermuda also has an Arboretum, Underwater Institute, Crystal Caves, and the Botanical Gardens to investigate in ways and areas that most visitors never get to see.

Bus-ferry passes are purchased at Post offices- or at the Aquarium and its a good idea to stop the taxi and run in to purchase them on your way in from the airport.

Bermudians are always trying to conserve precious electricity. The air-conditioner is the big ticket item so don't leave it on all day when you are out. It only takes a few minutes to restore comfort on your return and it saves our homeowner from giant power bills.

PLEASE NOTE: Bus service stops after 6pm. Purchase ferry- bus passes and remember that you can take the #10 or #11 bus back from Hamilton or St. George’s late at night to Flatts Village and the taxi fare back to the house is only $12.00 approximately plus tip.

Wonderful place to stay and excellent location!

Wonderful place to stay and excellent location! Very clean, quite roomy, comfy bed and pillows, excellent water pressure and plenty of space for clothes. They also provide beach chairs, beach towels and a beach umbrella which was wonderful and useful as we made our way down the driveway and across the flowered meadow down to the private beach. It was like our very own private paradise. We rented the twizzy car and C76 has a plug station to plug the car up every night which was very convenient! Our "quarters" were very private. We saw our hosts in the driveway a few nights and they are wonderful people, and very fun, helpful and hospitable. We ate at the Swizzle Inn 5 of our 7 nights and also enjoyed dinner at The Rotisserie Grill, as they are both close by, reasonably priced (for Bermuda) and oh SO good!! Highly recommend ~ Will definitely stay here again

Awesome place!

Very cozy little apartment, hosts were very helpful and friendly. Everything was clean, Wifi and A/C worked well, private beach across the street was amazing, never saw another person there. Thanks for the stay, will definitely recommend this place to others!

My wife and I stayed at this property for 17 glorious days this August. The apartment is spacious, clean and provides all the amenities that you’ll need. The private road and community is peaceful and quiet. The property is close to the beautiful private beach. Yes it’s a climb down to the beach, but the pictures make it look a lot steeper than it is. We found it very easy. We went to other areas of Bermuda to snorkel, but honestly, we found the best snorkeling right at our own beach. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend renting a scooter for your stay to provide the most flexibility and freedom. Two grocery stores and some nice restaurants are nearby, but the taxis are pricey and we didn’t feel like waiting for buses (although they are a cheaper alternative). Would most definitely stay here again!!

What an amazing place! My husband and I spent 5 nights here, and it exceeded our expectations. The hosts are some of the kindest people you will meet on the island – and that says a lot, considering how everyone in Bermuda goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We rented a scooter, which I definitely recommend, unless you are a big fan of walking. The bus stop is not too far, but further than I would have cared to venture every day. The location was perfect, and the private beach was stunning. Although the original stairs (I think) had been washed away, you still have access to the beach with some very minor scrambling down some small rocks. Would highly recommend, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Just returned from a 3-night stay at C76. What great (first rate) accommodations, with warm and friendly hosts! The house is only steps away from a bus stop making the entire island easily accessible. What an AWESOME spot, just a very short walk to your own private beach. No-one else was around!!!! Snorkeling was fantastic. At night, it was wonderful sitting on the “park bench”, overlooking the ocean and gazing at the stars. The Swizzle was great too! Highly recommended! And, if/when we return to BDA we will definitely consider this rental at the top of our list!

Stayed 10 days at C76 … beautiful beyond words! Although access to the private beach had washed out, was not a problem since John Smith’s Bay is very close. All necessities were less than 15 minutes via scooter … including a 24 hour gym! The studio is complete with kitchen for whatever meal prep when you choose to eat in … and the owners? … warm, wonderful and hard working … they graciously let me use the best BBQ/Smoker I have ever seen … smoked a gyro and made pizzas …like a foodie in heaven! Thank you for a fantastic stay …

What a fabulous rental!! We have enjoyed a lovely time here and were made very welcome by the owners. The apartment was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our 11 day stay in Bermuda. The beach was solely ours each time we went down (perks of a private beach) – so lovely compared to the beautiful yet busy Horseshoe Bay etc. I would love to keep this place a secret so I can book again with no competition but feel I must share and cannot recommend this highly enough! Thanks to the home owners and Bermuda Rentals for such a fantastic introduction Bermuda and we’re already looking forward to our next visit here……

Just got back from our stay at C76 in Smiths. We loved it. Everything went wonderfully well owing to your meticulous arrangements and helpful guidance for us “first-timers” to Bermuda. The home owners were great hosts and the apartment was perfect for us. We are so glad we chose to rent through you and would unhesitatingly do so again. Thank you.

My wife and toddler and I just returned from 8 nights at this apartment. I agree with everything previously written about it here. We had a wonderful stay and our hosts were great. With the quiet and privacy off the beaten track (but still central and not too far from everything) it was perfect for us. In addition to the nearby private beach and tidal pools there is also an open rolling field with a sweeping view of the ocean during the day and the clear bright stars at night. We (I) also got excellent exercise pushing our stroller over the hill to the bus stop every day.

My wife and I just returned from a magnificent five-night stay at this property. I have traveled to Bermuda nine times, and these were by far the best accommodations I have enjoyed! Situated directly on the south shore, with sweeping views of the Atlantic, this apartment is spacious and modern. A ten-second stroll down a grassy hill leads you to a completely private beach that we had all to ourselves throughout our stay. If you desire perfect scenery and an ideal location just minutes away from Hamilton and public beaches, this is the place for you!
