Nearby Attractions

The property is located a short 2 minute walk from the historic town of St. George’s, with a fantastic choice of restaurants, bars, and shopping. There are several restaurants a short walk from the property, so you will have plenty of great eateries to choose from!

There is the Somers Super-mart in town and a convenience store a 10 minute walk away, which means that replenishments are never far away if your larder needs to be topped up. There is also a pharmacy nearby, which is about a 5 minute walk from the property. We suggest bringing frozen steaks or fish and some liquor/wine/beer with you as you are allowed to import some for your own use. It saves time and ensures you have those steaks cut just the way you like them.

There are two bus stops near the property, which are a two minute walk, and a 10 minute walk. The ferry stop is not far either, about a 10 minute walk from the cottage! There are also buses leaving from the nearby town center regularly heading over to the west part of the island, including the capital city of Hamilton.

Suggested St. George’s Restaurants:

1. Wahoos – food is excellent
   2. White Horse Tavern – great tavern food
   3. Griffins Bistro – food is excellent
   4. Mama Angies – good down home Bermuda Cooking
   5. Wong Golden Dragon – great take out

Lovely Place

I organize the Bermuda One-Two and this place works out great for me. Right downtown, walking distance to everything and quick trip to the St. George's Dinghy & Sports Club where the race is run out of. Minor problem this year; the washing machine didn't work but I knew the people staying at the other cottages so I was able to wash my clothes. The owner was picking up a new washer. I will continue to use E19.

Perfect place

We were very impressed with our stay. E19 was beautiful. The location was perfect and the owners were incredibly accommodating. We highly recommend this property - or any of the properties owned by this couple. After personally speaking with them and hearing the history behind their properties, we are certain they take great pride and care in maintaining their little cottages. Amazing!

Wonderful Stay

We had a lovely time in St. George's and the cottage worked very well for us. We walked to Tobacco Bay in 10 minutes, Fort St. Catherine's and Achilles Bay in 20 minutes. Town with shops, restaurants, grocery store, perfumery, historic churches, and activities are right down the street, two minute walk. The location is so convenient and the walking tour of the town is awesome. So much history. The cottage is small, but quaint, clean, and very quiet. Loved sitting on the porch at night watching the moon and listening to the "peepers". Also electric car charging station right on the property. Our host was very accommodating, picked us up and returned us to the airport for a small fee, and even gave us a small riding tour of the town to point out specific sites of interest. We will definitely be back!

We will be returning

Stayed in E19 for four nights and it was just as described. The home owners are wonderful people and because this was our first time in Bermuda, after picking us up at the airport, they gave us a driving tour of the St George area. The cottage has a kitchen, a large modern bathroom and a comfortable living room that includes a roll out queen size bed, and a loft. The local market is just a short walk down the road that includes everything from groceries, to a breakfast bar and a good selection of wine. We were very comfortable here and we will be back. We recommend taking the ferry from St George to The Royal Navy Dockyard and visiting the National Museum of Bermuda and the Dockyard Keep, the largest fort on the island. The ferry is forty five minutes and offers views of Fort St Catherine, St George, Hamilton and much of the shoreline. A fine was to spend the day.

Amazing Property

We had a perfect stay at E19 for our 10th anniversary this October. The property as a whole is a great location within St. George's - a quick trip to the supermarket or to the beach at Tobacco Bay. This rental has a lovely little patio with bbq that we took advantage of every morning and evening, and is secluded - set back from the road and removed from the foot and car traffic that is frequent in town. The homeowner was a great host, and provided us with great tips and everything we could possibly need to make our stay stress-free. Highly recommend this property.

Terrific Getaway

E19 was perfect for us for our 6 days in St. George. The location is perfect...short walk to grocer and other shops and restaurant. 15 minutes to Tobacco Bay. A few minutes more, and you are at St. Catherine's Beach...stunning and relatively unknown. That will soon change, as construction of a hotel has just started. E-19 is ideal for a couple. It has everything one could want for a brief stay in Bermuda. We recommend The Tempest for some excellent meals. Wahoo's is fun for something less formal. The Beach House at Blackbeards (next to Fort St. Catherine) is a great place for a sunset dinner or cocktails. The homeowner was a gracious hostess. She made sure we had everything we needed, and provided some good advice about local spots. We recommend you have her do the pickup/drop off at the airport. Very convenient. We'll be back!

Has everything you need

My husband and I stayed in E19 from the end of May to the beginning of June. It was perfect for just the two of us, although -- a warning -- if you are taller than 5'4, you will probably hit your head in the loft. I'm short so I was fine, but my husband had to remember to duck when getting out of bed. The owners were extremely accommodating and picked us up/dropped us off at the airport and took us grocery shopping. It is a 15 minute walk to Tobacco Bay, but go a little further and you'll be rewarded with the beach at Ft. St Catherine. It is a less than 5 minute walk to town -- super close to the grocery store, restaurants, liquor store, bus station, visitor center, everything! The apartment itself is small but clean and lovely. The shower in the bathroom was my dream shower and we are now modeling ours at home after this one. This is the best deal I've seen in Bermuda, away from the crowds, among the locals!

E19 is simply amazing. Amazing, caring owners, wonderful historical building and the extensive renovations made it a spectacular place to stay. Anything you need, chances are it will be there or the owners can help you get it. It is a separate building away from the road just two minutes away from the main road. St Catherine’s beach and Tobacco Bay are both very close. The town square area has a few excellent restaurants, just be prepared for limited selections on Tuesday as most local places are closed (great day to head to the Shipyard / Hamilton). Next time we are in Bermuda, I would not rent a scooter for the entire time we are there, but will rather take a bus. If you take the taxi to the cottage, have them drop you off at the Town Square rather than having the taxi try to find the street. Even with luggage it was less than 5 min walk up from Town Square. Cannot wait to go back!
