Fully detached 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage with a Queen sized bed. An air mattress can be made available for the second guest if necessary, but please request this in advance. The bathroom has a shower and a separate bathtub. There is a private courtyard off the kitchen for exclusive use of the unit- a pretty spot to enjoy your dinner!
The apartment has both air conditioning and ceiling fans, as well as a private phone line for local calls. Free WiFi. There is a TV in the living room and in the bedroom that connect via G box (no cable). Laundry facilities are available in the unit as well as an iron and ironing board. Towels and linens provided, and cleaning services can be provided upon request for stays of 10 nights or longer, for an extra charge paid in cash to the service provider.
The kitchen is fully functional with all appliances including a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. Cutlery, pots, dishes, glasses, etc. are supplied.
There is a bus stop within 100 meters of the property going east or west. The Railway Trail is just a short walk away, as is Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse. There are restaurants, golf courses, parks and spectacular beaches and grocery stores all within walking distance.
Please be mindful of water usage: Bermuda collects water off the roof- its delicious but we don't want to waste it..
Across the street is a private property dock with a dockhouse that has chairs and a kayak for your enjoyment.
This property is suitable for guests with mobility issues provided they can handle two short steps to get into the front door. Children welcome. Sorry, pets are not permitted in the apartment.

With its position in Southampton, the apartment is in a wonderful location for walking to the famous South Shore beaches or hiking along the cliffs. Golf courses in the area include the Fairmont Southampton Course, Port Royal Golf Course, and the Belmont Golf Course. The Bermuda Railway Trail, which spans 18 miles of Bermuda, is ideal for walking, biking, and scenic tours. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is also within walking distance and provides 360 degree views from its upper viewing station, and a very highly regarded dining establishment on the ground level. Horseback riding at Spicelands Academy along the Ridge and the South Shore trails includes sunrise and sunset guided tours. Smatt’s Cycle Livery is located next to the Fairmont Southampton Hotel if you choose to rent a moped or a pedal bike. The city of Hamilton is a 20-25 minute drive East of the property, where you can do some shopping, enjoy a restaurant meal, and take part in Harbour Nights on Front Street from May to September. There are very elegant hotels and fine dining available in the area, one does not have to go into Hamilton to enjoy a good meal or cabaret. This luxury can even be afforded to you with the very nearby Henry VIII Restaurant! The charming hamlet of Somerset Town is 10 minutes away with shops and cafes and just beyond the town is the 200 year old Naval Dockyard, now converted into a museum and shopping concourse with pubs, crafts market, a parasail operation, charter boats, beach facilities, etc.
